Why Employment Lawyers Should Tweet

Twitter can be a useful tool for employment lawyers. For some, it can be a great way to network and to meet potential clients.

However, I use it for a different purpose.

For some time, we have been using the #ukemplaw hashtag to highlight any employment law related tweets. For those who don’t use twitter, a hashtag is a way of marking a post as being relevant to a particular topic. Therefore, whenever something interesting happens in employment law, it gets marked with #ukemplaw. This way, employment lawyers, HR professionals and other interested persons can use the hashtag as a way of seeing what is happening in the employment law world or which topic is generating discussion.

Frankly, it is one of the best ways of keeping up to speed with employment law. One of the reasons that I have started this website is to enable me to expand upon my employment related tweets in more depth. Whenever a new post goes on to this website, I will highlight this in a tweet. My account is www.twitter.com/EmploymentBar
